Where do I start with
Exercise Physiology?

If you would like to start or continue exercising, whether it is for fitness and health or to manage a chronic condition or injury, then Exercise Physiology might be for you.

The first step is to do an Initial Assessment.

time to set goals

WHAT CAN I EXPECT FROM MY INITIAL ASSESSMENT?

An Exercise Physiology Initial Assessment at Adaptive Allied Health will include a thorough discussion about your medical history, previous and current injuries, health conditions and medications. We will also conduct a biometric and movement assessment.

This information is important in order to prescribe an exercise program that is tailored to YOU.

Together with your Exercise Physiologist you will discuss your goals and develop a progressive treatment plan to best achieve those goals. Based on this assessment; you will then begin our On-Ramp program followed by a structured/tailored exercise program in either a 1:1 or group setting, depending on your needs.

Most importantly, you will walk away with a clear management plan for your condition and goals and feel supported by the fact that your exercise is being taken care of by a professional.

Your Exercise Physiologist will also collaborate with any other treating practitioners or specialists to ensure each member of your healthcare team is on the same page.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT FROM A

1:1 EXERCISE PHYSIOLOGY SESSION?

1:1 sessions with an Exercise Physiologist will involve an exercise program that has been tailored for you based on the outcomes of your Initial Assessment and goals.

This session allows for dedicated time with an Exercise Physiologist who will guide you and help you to develop good exercise technique and understanding.
